No, I’m not in the nesting stage of pregnancy nor do I have too much time on my hands (as my husband cheekily suggested when he saw these!) but I am going through what you might call an ‘organizing phase’. With one son off school with the sickness bug for a couple of days this week, I have used the time stuck indoors to go through our paperwork and throw away old magazines that I had been hoarding for years as well as washing and ironing all the cushion covers. I then moved on to the pantry and cleared out any old tins, jars and packets of food in there. I keep my rice, pasta, flour etc in glass jars as it looks nicer and also makes it easy to see when you’re running out of something. The chalkboard labels from Nutmeg (available from Notonthehighstreet.com – I’m addicted to that site!) are a nice finishing touch and would also work on boxes holding other things like paperwork or children’s toys. In fact I think I need to order some more!

I really really love them!! Need to get some!! Do you write on them yourselves or do they come like that? So nice!!
You write on them yourself and you can wipe off the writing like on a real blackboard. I was thinking that maybe I should get a friend who has really nice handwriting to redo mine!
I ordered a chalk pen when I bought the labels – you can use normal chalk as well but maybe need to sharpen it first. I forgot to put in the post that the labels come in two different sizes and I think six different shapes.
No, you should keep them with your handwriting! Really nice and more personal!! I really have to do this for my “old fashioned pantry” in the kitchen! Love them!
